Simone graduated from University of Houston College of Pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy and completed a residency with a managed care focus. She also is a Board-Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP) since 2009. Simone has served as a clinical pharmacist specialist at various cancer centers and most recently has been a clinical pharmacist specialist in Hematology and Oncology at Memorial Hermann Hospital in the Texas Medical Center for over 10 years. Simone led a team of five clinical specialists in a hospital-based cancer center who were responsible for developing and implementing clinical and cost savings initiatives in hematology/ oncology.

In her role at Magellan, Simone focuses on serving as a subject matter expert in oncology in a customer-facing role and supports product development/innovation efforts. In addition, she serves as a preceptor for the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacists (AMCP) Foundation summer internship programs and a board member of the Healthcare Businesswomen's Association Houston chapter.
