Don Smith, PhD, is a Senior Scientific Director, Market Access Communications, within the Evidence Synthesis, Modeling, and Communications (EMC) division in Waltham, Massachusetts. His responsibilities at Evidera include a senior role in the development of global value dossiers, AMCP dossiers, and deliverables for pre-approval information exchange (PIE) engagements, as well as project management.

Prior to working in Market Access Communications, Dr. Smith worked in the Evidence Review and Synthesis (ERS) group at Evidera where he acted as a lead researcher and writer on systematic and targeted literature reviews. In addition, he previously worked as a Principal Medical Writer for Custom Learning Designs, Inc. Dr. Smith has a PhD in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics from Harvard Medical School and a BS in Microbiology from the University of Maine, Orono.
