Margaret Weiker is Vice President, Standards Development at NCPDP. She is responsible for the direction and development of standards within the healthcare industry based on the consensus process of the NCPDP membership. Margaret performs and directs a wide range of administrative projects and programs pertaining to the overall administration, organization and operation of developing standards. Prior to joining NCPDP, Margaret was a Hewlett-Packard Product Director where her responsibilities included product management, sales readiness, requirements assessment, solution implementation, project management, providing education and training, maintaining third-party administrator licensing, and representing HP at various national standards organizations.
Margaret has over 39 years of experience in the Health Care Industry and over 33 years of experience in the HIT/EDI/EC industry. She is a recipient of the NCPDP Benjamin D. Ward Distinguished Member Award, Earl J. Bass e-Business Achievement Award and a two-time recipient of the NCPDP TIME Award. Margaret is a co-author of the “What Your Organization Should Know About the Electronic Transaction Standards” handbook.
